Our hatches were the same time. I have four cuckoo marans. The two I am sure are roos look just like your first "golden maran" picture.

He is plain cuckoo as far as I can see in the pic unless that is a little gold in the hackel feathers. The cockerels are actually barred black and white which gives them a more grey appearance... or what you are calling 'silver'. Silver would actually be like the golden but with silver feathers where the gold is... is that clear as mud?
