UGH I'm so excited and nervous. This is my first hatch ever. I set 35 eggs. 5 turned out unfertilized and one went bad. Down to 29. Adding final water and locking down in a few minutes.

Little worried I think I added too much water. The level seems to have hit the mesh floor! Is that a problem for the eggs??

I have the Hovabator 1602. Someone gave it to me. Got this far now im worried about the eggs being wet!!

I don't know what that model looks like and where the water goes, but I think the eggs should be O.K. as long as they're not sitting in the water and getting wet. If that's the situation lower the level a fraction.

Hi SuperChiks!
Whats your humidity at now? Are you using a homemade incubator? Good job getting so many to lockdown!!

Thank u!! I havent a clue what it is. I need to get one of those hygrometers. Im praying this turns out well. I have ordered 24 malaysian serama eggs that I really need to have high hatching % of. They were a little expensive. This bator just has water resevoirs and says fill these two until lock down then fill them all. There was a little condensation on the windiw this morning.

Knowing what your humidity is will help you lots. Many failed hatches are due to humidity being incorrect at a crucial stage, so I'd recommend getting a hygrometer. Good luck, again and keep us posted!
