Wow! We just candled on day 10 and 12. We had two sets of eggs come from different BYC members so they are two days apart. Out of the 15, 11 are great in my inexperienced opinon. One looked totally porous so we ditched it. 4 we aren't sure about. It's so exciting! Come on, frizzles and sizzles!!1
Question... since they are two days apart... on day 18 for the first set, it's lockdown. Do the others just go along? Should we take out what hatches? I'm a little confused on what to do. It looks like the second set has more viable eggs but there are definitely some in the first set.
We're also getting 15 new week-old chicks tomorrow!!! My 10 8-week old silkies made it out to the coop today and are snug in their new home. They spent most of the day outside and had a big time!
