First hatching experience!

I switched to led lights.... you can try laying the egg on a bunched up towel and add more than one light around it, https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101

CANDLE EGGS
DAY 1

Always wash hands before handling eggs.
The shell of an egg is thin and opaque when held near a bright light. The easiest type of egg to candle is the white shelled egg and some of the hardest eggs to candle are dark brown eggs, like the Maran eggs pictured below.

You could try two or more flashlights to see into them!

Thank you! I will try it! I so want to do everything right! All the flashlights I have a re the dollar store ones. I will probably go to walmart today and get me a good one that is really bright.

Good luck, let us know how it goes, take a few pics!! and of the set up if it works!

I just put 24 eggs into my incubator and am waiting for it to heat back up!!!!!! Here are a few pics of it. I have 3 thermometors in there and they seem to be pretty close in accuracy!!!!!!!! Wish me luck!!!!

Me too! My husband already had this one to so I didn't have to buy a new one, and I love that it shows humidity! I left the middle holes empty so that it would be easy to add water when needed and I wouldn't have to move the eggs around! Thank you for all your advice! I love this place!
