First Home Eggs Adopt-an-Egg Hatch a Long!

There are 5 out now! 15 & 11 are the only two I know for sure. They are laying all over the eggs and I can’t see which is which. One is mid-zip, and there are a bunch more pips. I think there’s only about 8 that haven’t pipped yet including the two I set late!



I can’t open it to take them out until there are no pips, right? I feel like they’ll be squished together for another day…

I open it quick and just partially close the vent for a min to get humidity back up faster. If one has just hatched that is the best time since humidity is high and will jump right back up

Ok that works. Next one that hatches I’ll do that!

So you open it once the wet baby initially is out, right? And leave the wet one in to dry?

Never had such a full incubator lol.

Yes. Since the wet baby is still in it helps humidity pop right back up.

Yours is going to be crazy full!!! I think most I had hatch was 13 or 14 and I took them out once a few were dry

All the dry ones! There’s 6 so far!

The rest are all pipped or zipping except egg 5 from barn 1, eggs 1, 5, 6 & 7 from barn 2, and extra egg 1.

Here is a picture. All babies are combos of yellow/tan, some striped, except #11 who is a very dark brown. Here is a pic of the 5 I took out and put in the brooder! I’ll get some better pictures a little later!

The rest of the chicks are shades of gold.

Pips still waiting on: 2, 3, 5 (pipped at wrong end but beak is poked through…fingers crossed!), 16, 18, and egg 2 from barn 2 along with extra egg 2.

I think it will be a little bit until the next as no one is zipping, so I’ll take the rest of this crew out at the next zip!
