I have a black copper marans hen who went broody for the first time. All was going well until a couple of days ago. She started staying off the nest and the eggs would get cold before she would return, and last night she didn't get on the nest at all. Could this be because it's her first time? Is it likely that she will want to give it another try?

you could always try again. is she separated from the other hens? Sometimes I would enclose them and keep them in the dark, but this is why I will always keep a silky.

I only have three hens and a rooster, so I keep them together. I'll try seperating her from them if she decides to try again. Thank you
