Dont give up on them yet !!

You have a still air bator right ?? And your temp stayed 102 ?

Unless your temp and hum gauge is off it sounds like you did right, 102 would be the tops you want to go, but at 102 I would of guessed they would of been right on time or a tad bit early !!

Did you count your days correct ??

i put them in nov. 28th... yup still air...hmmmm would the height of the thermometer matter, like how high it is off the bottom? cuz it was 2-3 inches of the bottom, but idk i thought dats how it was sopposed to be....hmmmm... so far my broody hen, henrietta, has had more luck then me.lol. shes sitting on her second batch.

your temp gauge should be level with the top of the eggs !! If you were a tad bit off it wouldnt of made a huge difference.

When you candled what did you see ?? Were there chicks in there ??

Broodys are better than we are at this I think !!

yea its at the top of the eggs. well when i candled them it looked like their were embryos and veins in ALL the eggs...i just dont now wat went wrong. so when should i open the incubator and candle/trash them?

I really wonder if your gauges are off and the temp wasnt what it said it was. Keep them in there till day 26-27. Just in case your temps were off and they are delayed !!

ok dat sounds like a plan! i thought my temps or humidity might be off also so today i went to petsmart and got another thermometer and hygrometers. i just have two small circular ones that say temp/humidity. i didnt really "open" the incubator all the way i just quickly put them inside. i hope that doesent affect the eggs. but anywayz heres a picture of how it looks.

ok well i guess the temp was off the one i was using, it was that thermostat with that red line that goes up and down. the new thermometers says about 95 degrees. and the hygrometers for all three of them are all different. ones at 57, another ones at 46, and the last ones at 52. hmmm. see i had two thermometers in their to begin with but one said (the one that says both temp/hum) it was at 95 and the other at 102. i thought the one with the rising red line was the right one (guess i thought wrong) so ive been using that one. stupid thing! ahhhhh.

Thats not a bad bad thing, (just kind of bad) the eggs could still very well hatch !!!! When your temp is low that causes them to be late !!! I wouldnt give up yet !!

As far as the hum goes, I would stick a wet paper towel in there to try to get it up a tad, like you did before... do it quick !!

wet paper towel is in! and i raised da temp to102 according to the good thermometers. so who knows if anything will happen. hopefully. good thing though is that i'll know which thermometer to trust nextime. i'll keep u updated and thank you a LOT swtangel321, appreciate it!
