First Incubation

Iz you sure you can take care of the little boogers?!! Where are the chick food? Where is the brooder box? Where is the commitment and discipline?!!!!! :barnie
Well, I've raised 16 by myself and 60 some-odd in the past. I'm just smart enough to not touch the incubator right now. We have multiple totes around the house specifically for brooders or "hospital"/quarantine which are thoroughly disinfected after each use. And thank you for reminding me, but I was already planning on going to the feed store tonight.

Question: my humidity has been up at a steady 65% the past 4 or 5 days. I just noticed that it skyrocketed to 77%. Should I worry? And is there anything I can do?

Nope, no worries. The wet chicks are what made it jump. It will go back down as they dry out. I like mine around 75% anyway.

Can you pick me up an incubator, please? And also a bag of meal worm treats. Thanks! :wee
