First Molt and Poo Vent

My 2 and only GLW hens have recently (July) turned one year old and began molting a few days ago.
Wondering if the Molt will remove the poo butt, or if I should take some kind of action.

Any information, stories, or advice welcome!

If there is a lot of poop in their feathers, I would get some warm water and wipe it off. It might irritate their skin.

It will, but if you don’t treat the underlying issue it will keep coming back

It looks like vent gleet - can be caused by a number of things; worms being one of
them.

Saw 2 eggs in the run today, upon moving it, found 5 more!

I though I would see them get more bare.

Question now, are the back 5 old or new?
Taste test?

Was this an actual molt? Is there such thing as a half molt?

Some chickens get very ragged looking from losing a lot of feathers at once, but with my chickens they molt in stages... my white broody is molting bc she just hatched eggs, and you wouldn’t even know it except I see the feathers all over... but she has no bald spots. She’s starting to look whiter and whiter every day... so yes they completely molted, just not all at once. I guess that’s nature’s way of keeping them healthy - completely bald chicken is no good.

They may be starting to molt are you seeing new feathers coming in?

A poopy bottom can be from a number of things from worms to just a lazy pooper/tooo much fluff.
Wash her up and give her fluff a bit of a trim. It just looks like she's got poop stuck in the fluff.
If possible, get a fecal float to see if worms is an issue. IF they truly are molting and you find they do need de-wormed, then use Valbazen (Albendazole) to treat them instead of Safeguard (Fenbendazole) since Fenbendazole is known to damage feathers (stress marks) when a bird is in molt.
