First night in the coop!

Like many others on this site, I’m so nervous about my chicks first night in their coop! This is our first flock and we hope we thought of everything to keep them safe & secure. I’m relieved and scared at the same time. I went out and they were making a ton of noise at the door, trying to figure out their new nightly routine. I put each one up on the roost and they settled down. Hopeful all goes well! I love this forum and so grateful for all the advice & encouragement everyone offers.

I hope it goes well. It took mine about 4 nights to realize what to do. Now I just have to go check on them cause the are in bed by 8 o’clock sharp.

I just went through the same thing with my chicks last night. I almost felt guilty putting them on their roost because they seemed freaked out and I was scared that they wouldn’t know how to get down in the morning or try to get down in the dark. As it turned out, they did great. I hope you had similar successes with your girls.
