So I almost finished the coop today, but I didn't have hinges for the nesting box door, so I covered that up with poultry wire to keep the chicks from escaping, threw down some pine shavings and stuck them in there. They seemed super antsy, I thought because of the lack of roosts (yet to go in) so I found the "roost" they've been flocking to at sunset every night and threw that in...

They love it, although they fight over the best spot.

Does the human baby mind sharing?

Hahaha. We've had that thing for about 8 years and a couple years ago it became an outside attraction when we had our first girl and mom had to get her something pink. For some reason the chicks just took a liking to it!
