First Night Out.

My Chicks are six weeks old now. They have been in a cage (inside the coop) with the other hens during the day for a couple of weeks but they were bought back into the house at night. We had a warm night last night (13c) and the same tonight so I thought that I would try them outside in the hen-house.

The are in a plastic crate with a cardboard box on top and a blanket over them.

It has started to rain so I'm thinking about them.

They'll be fine

First night out is tough! Mine have been out two whole nights now. And it is raining here too.

But you are right, they'll be fine. It will take longer for us to adjust.
