First no egg day

This is the first day none of my 3 hens layed since they started last June. It must be winter.

What is funny yet sad, is that I am happy about this. I want them to take a break until spring. They will have no worries, just eat and become fat and happy.

That's normal. When the daylight starts to decrease, it's just nature's way of saying, "Hey, it's getting dark and cold! It's not a good time to have babies!"

Plus, the reproductive cycle of a hen takes longer than 24 hours to produce an egg. Some days a hen just won't lay an egg because of that.
