first one out....yoke sack?

Chick # 1 just hatched it has a long yellowish whiteish membrane attached...does not appear to be intestine...from what I have read and been told...I need to just leave it alone and let it dry up....these are my first ever eggs....STRESSED but thrilled

Awe well done and congrats. Yes i would leave it alone it will dry up. Ive got a 5 day old chick that hadnt absorbed all its yolk sac, it was hanging off its bum. Its drying up nicely now, just a little bit still there..
