First ones in the oven!!

How tender was it? MMmmmmm.....Ive been eyeing my meaties since reading this thread....1 more week.....sooon!!
 
He was good, very tender. Alitte dry lol, but it was my first time cooking a whole bird, I'm making a stock this morning so we will have some chicken soup tonight!!!
 
I just slaughtered my 3 roosters and one meat bird. the meatie weighed 5.5lbs at 7 weeks. So the others should be pretty big by next week, at least another pound or so. What a difference from the heritage breed roosters! The meatie is twice the size and meat! And the heritage light sussex were 3 months old!
