First post and my first time with chickens!

Me too! First post here and first time chicken owner. Bought 6 yesterday and just vague ideas about building a coop. They were outside yesterday (65 degrees) and loving it. "Clint Eastwood" (she's the tough fearless loner) caught a pretty big worm! She pecked it for a while. Not sure if she ate it. I have 2 dogs. One is very interested in playing with them (watching and even herding) the other in very interested too but I dont think she wants to "play". We are being very careful.

I have a 10 month old border collie and 4 cats. The cats I don't trust for one second - especially since one of them got a squirrel the other day. Bentley ( the dog ) seems to like sniffing them - he has only tried to bite them once and was scolded for it - treated for when he was just smelling. He is a smart dog so I figure I can train him to just hang with the chickens and not think they are meals on 2 wheels. He has a very strong herding instinct so I am sure that is going to come into play. He has never been one to nip to herd though - he does the eye so I think it should all be okay.
