Hello Forum:
Ive been using the forum for several months and so far found the answers to all my questions, but want to be a more active member. I live in an area where bobcats eat chickens, period. Sadly, my first attempt ended when two of my three pullets (Brix, Shadow and Peanut) were killed in broad daylight and I gave the third away. Now, I have five: cuckoo maran, gold-laced wyandotte, barnvelder, australorpe and silver-laced polish. They cant be free-range despite our fully fenced yard. We built an oversized coop and created a small yard for them to run around in when we are watching. This situation exacerbates some problems like picking and other boredom disorders. So, Im sure Ill be looking for lots of help since Im also new at this!
Im a potter and live in Inverness (Pt. Reyes) California. I love swimming, running, cycling, gardening, cooking, horseback riding and have one beloved cat.
