My first quail hatch went very well. I got 90 eggs from Friend2Fowl and 69 of them hatched. I was very pleased with these results considering they were shipped eggs.

Here's some pics.

Not sure what kind they all are for sure, but I will figure it out as they get older.

I just now saw this, they are so cute! They are all coturnix, I know you had asked about the white eggs? I have one hen, I believe it's only one, that lays a pure white egg all the time. This would normally be likened to bobwhites, but the only birds in this parent group that did not come from my own birds are the goldens, and I've never seen a golden bobwhite!

You have quite a few goldens, which is to be expected. There are either 24 or 25 goldens in the pen, with 3 browns, 8 whites, 2 cinnamons, and 1 tuxedo. A lot of your tibetans (the dark ones with dark red stripes) are most likely 'throw-backs' from the goldens, they will either feather out looking like tuxedoed tibetans or tuxedoed browns, I've had both from golden-golden breedings

It also looks like you might have some whites? The one dead-center in the first pic, does it have stripes? If so, they are very faint, might be a 'new' color variety there.

I have 2 different types of golden, one is 'normal' (yellow with black spots), and the other is a fawn golden (yellow with marroon markings). Personally, I like the fawns better, unfortunately they always seem to be males

In the last pic, the one on the left with light stripes is probably a fawn golden.

As stated, there is only 1 tibetan tuxedo in the pen, and it's a female. So all those tibetan-looking babies couldn't have come from her

Unless my older birds were laying when I sent your eggs? I honestly can't remember

Either way, the older tibetan tuxedoes, there is only 1 male and 4 females, and they just recently started laying consistently. So I'm sure that some of those (probably the ones with the most white on them) are from the goldens.

Congrats on the babies! I can't believe you are gonna eat them!
