I had so much planned for today.I knew it was coming so I got all the brush hogging done yesterday. Figured if the weather moved in early, and it DID. I could build some more laying boxes

Lol. Ralph I actually have one of the highest pieces of property around. During the hurricanes, people would park at my place and take BOATS to theirs. Being of the paranoid nature however, the elevation was not adequate for my purposes. I'm raising the elevation another 3-1/2 ft where I'm going to build a house. Too many times I've heard people wish they had done so.

Actually had a heated discussion (untill I ran him OFF) with the county commissioner back years ago. Seems by raising MY ELEVATION it was causing flooding problems ELSEWHERE. Fool told me I didn't NEED that much dirt. He left BEFORE the physical assault could commence. He made it to his truck before I made it to him.

The way I've built up if I get water on my DRIVEWAY, the rest of the county will have it in their attics.

The DW went to town. I figured this was the opportune time to clean two of the styro Bator's up. I told her about the quail coming that had been payed for LAST year. She wasn't thrilled but being she is a women the idea of not getting something I spent money on was abhorrent to her.lol I also JUST ordered 50 bobwhite quail. I will slip them in with the others. He he he where there is a will there is a way.

@Linda, thanks. I'm going to use shelf pine that was scavenged from work. I'm also only making them 12"x12". The hens gang up if I make them any larger.
