First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

I'm trying to figure it which meat cross to use. I want to use an Aseel as foundation stock with a Novogen. The offspring will be crossed with a conventional broiler chicken. It will be a dual purpose cross that inherits the egg laying from the Novogen and carcass size from the broiler. Should I use a Delaware, Cornish Cross, or Robust White as the broiler for crossing with the offspring? I'm also getting guidance from the CobbSasso where they cross a Sasso rustic brown with a Cobb conventional white broiler. In my cross the Novogen will be the rustic brown and the white broiler will be either a Delaware, Cornish Cross, or Robust White.

Stay AWAY from asil/aseel. The only thing they will bring to the table is unwanted aggression. I understand they are a foundation breed for the modern cornish, however the breeds have very diffrent purposes. Since Biblical times asil were bred for their blood thirsty nature. Males were only allowed to mate AFTER they had killed in cockfights. The females are just as ruthless. I raised ONE from egg to a little over a year old. He was kept inside the house in a cage by my bed. When I was outside he was always with me. He attacked my wife twice drawing blood. The 3rd time he attacked ME, I fed him to my catfish.

The birds of today are not the same as 20 yes ago,as 10 or 5. We place huge pressure on breeds from selection for specific characteristics. Asil have been bred for aggression for THOUSANDS of years. You do NOT want that trait in your backyard flock.

TGP before you embark on creating your own Cx,get the basics down. Even CX can be a handful if your not equipped to handle them. Raise a few birds. Get an understanding of what the birds will require(from experience) get an understanding of how quickly things you didn't plan for will arise.lol

I spend on an average of at LEAST 3 hrs a day messing with my birds. That's rough when I'm working 7-12s.
I've learned a lot from the folks here. I've learned a lot the hardway too.
Keep things small to start. Go with things that are PROVEN to work. Then you can start trying new things

That having been said, I do have some Malay, shamo and more pure Saipan.
They are NOT for hybridization. They are just to look at.lol And try to get the perfect confirmation for each breed

Thanks JRNash, I'll probably use Hmoob chickens, they are similar but less aggressive. Or perhaps modern Game. Also, what is this catfish? It ate a whole chicken, an aseel that could peck its eyes out?!?! Sounds tasty.
