I hope to get some cxs when I get home, I am going for 13s again. DW says Bert is doing good. We are hatching toads still.


DW sent me this picture from yesterdays hatch..... MM eat your heart out,,

Glad Bert is doing well. How long will it take to get them to 13 lbs?

It took me 13 weeks to 14 weeks to get a rooster to dress at 13 pounds.


Only one went that high the other roosters went 10-12.

LOL.. maybe, BUT if it is what I think it might be, It will not be supper, it will be an oddity. BUT I could be all wrong too, I have only seen the picture and my wife says it is smaller than a turkey poult.

I am sure DH will be remiss at the unflattering picture, but seriously. He and Dinner are pals. I think we are having an overgrown meatball for Thanksgiving this year.
I never expected to love turkeys so much. They are awesome.
We have the hunting tent set up in the back yard right now (long story) and were all camping out there last night. Guess who heard us an came to roost on the cots with us... 3 turkeys!
