If keeping the meatballs active is the key to healthy life, they've got a good start. They are all expending alot of energy scratching in the pine bedding

Sounds like they are a normal chick!

I just came in for putting leg bands on all of last years hatch. What a pain in the arse. I got pecked, clawed and shat on,,,,,

I am guessing that means they were not in favor of the banding process. I have 30 year old chickens, unless some are hiding on a nest somewhere, I thought I had 34,, Wait,, I sold one, and one died, drops me to 32 and the dang coon/possum/weasel took two,,,

So I have them all! No nests!

I had to put salve on the young tom tonight. Ed had blood on his spur at chicken TV time and the young Ton was bleeding from above his thigh and below the wing. I am thinking the two things were related.
