I was bragging to my wife about how my goslings have learned to go into their coop when i go out in the evenings and that she should come watch.

They went everywhere BUT their coop!!

On the bitty front, so far so good they are all extremely healthy and active. The meatballs are starting to pull ahead in the size department what has come as a total suprise is how fast all four breeds are feathering out.

You can call your wife a bitty and still wake up in the morning?

Hahaha! I call our cows and pigs bittys but the chickens tend to get amgery and squawk at u. If I am understanding them right they have fowl mouths.

I know fowl is spelled wrong for that sentence but I couldnt resist.

I just got my first meat birds and I'm so excited and nervous! I am reading through this thread, there is so much good info here! My husband and I went and picked up 30 Cornish cross at rural King. I am guessing they are around 2 weeks old. They have not a lot of fuzz and not a lot of feathers. The guy at the store said they are a couple weeks old. We asked for the oldest chicks. Now we have them in our 8x4 summer coop/quarentine coop in the garage. I still can't believe we have 30 little peeps in the garage! We just got our first chickens 1.5 mo ago, we got 11 adult hens from an acquaintance so we haven't had chicks before. Chicken math has gone a little crazy for us :).

Welcome!! Do you have a tractor built for them or how r u going to raise them?? And we need pics!! Nothing I love more than pics.
