You know how I cherish a ( censored string of words) duck!



My toad experiment is coming to a close. I will not be keeping anymore CX's for breeding..

I have not had a fertile egg yet, I am down to a toad and a CX hen and Bert Jr. The rest have all died. I think they are just too large to breed naturally. Like BB Turkeys. It just cannot be down. They can not get his boy parts close enough to her girl parts to make any babies...

It is sad, I had such high hopes. I now think the only way to do it would be with AI. I am trying to convince Holm to become a chicken AI specialist.

I am glad your eggs ranch is doing so well.

On that note I am in the process of becoming a NPIP hatchery. I have been through the required school now and need a hatchery/farm inspection and field day with the State Chicken guy or gal.

I'm not sure what a simi chicken trailer is. Hubby and I custom designed and built these ourselves. They are totally a chicken trailer though. No geese for us!

Geez not geese lol I think I was talking to someone who said they started with trailer frames or semi trailer frames something like that is been nearly a year so it's fussy they said they had a egg company in Washington neighbors had skunks or something idk anymore lol

Now I remember!! It was me. Our units are on trailer frames. I'm from Oregon though. Ralph was joking about buying the house next door to me and breeding skunks. We were discussing zoning in my area and he said something about wanting 1000 free range skunks next door to me. It all came about because of my neighbor who complained that I had too many chickens and the insane zoning laws here. He was telling me that I could have a worse neighbor or something with that example.
