First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

I bought 6 white leghorns and 15 cornish x but they were all put together and I hope I got them seperated right since I just butchered the meat chickens they r 10 wks old

You should be able to tell the difference just by size (CX=meat monsters, leghorns=bony)

My meat birds are 6 week now and weighed them yesterday
They average between 1.03 - 1.07kg so are progressing well.

I looked at mine critically this morning, they are a fine looking bunch of toads!!



I just moved 7-8 new toad eggs to the hatcher today for the 12th! I hope 5 hatch but they are notoriously poor hatchers so that is optimistic.

My wife is threatening bodily harm if I hatch anymore eggs.lol I have 35 chicks in a tote in the bathroom.
I have to say it again Dave,the colored broilers you have access to are far superior to what we have available around here.

I have been giving the toads free access to food and they do not seem to be over eating,,I am so happy!

I would get a picture but it is too hot in this heat wave to go out there..it is 83 degrees!! I hate it..


The brown is looking better on them and the ugly feathers are gone..sort of..

Mine are the same I can give them free access to food, it's not natural to me I feel I should be restricting them

I moved the toads outdoors today. I went to put them in with some others and they were massively too large. I put one next to a hatch mate and it dwarfed it. I bet they are 3 times as large. Maybe I should be restricting feed.
