Say goodbye to the grass.I'm not sure you have a good understanding of what your getting in to. I've heard of people raising CX in their basements, in my opinion, they're NUTS. Mind you I kept an aseel in the house in a cage by my bed until he turned 1yr old. So my grasp of reality might also be suspect. CX go from fluffy chicks to full size in weeks. They take a lot more room than you initially think you need.Do you plan to process your birds yourself? Don't forget about THAT mess.

that's hilarious... but kinda true. Not much space, but I'm sure someone could figure it out. Maybe they could do only 2 or 4 at a time?

Another thing to keep in mind is the smell from poop and feed. In a closed in area it can prove to be another unexpected unpleasant surprise.

Also the unavoidable rodents that will be moving in....

It could be made to work. I'd put a lot of thought into how it will effect the REST of the backyard. A pool normally implies a outdoor activities structured around it.
