First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

I haven't been able to do anything yet. All the bad weather,my Dad going into the hospital (he's doing better) and various other things has wreaked havoc with my plans. I'm still trying to get my pens done.
@ Linda, that made me hungry!!:)

I have found the key to the perfect rustic broiler, which grows moderately with fast, comparable to the CX. I only need a volunteer with a cx rooster to cross my rustic brown with. I was planning on using a nova brown, but if you know of a better rustic brown breed, it would be helpful that you notify me.

Cobb Sasso

My idea for the rustic broiler began when I was looking for Sasso breeders, and came across CobbSasso, a cross between a conventional Cobb500 rooster and a rustic brown female from Sasso.
The image of the CobbSasso was appealing, it appeared as large of a Cornish Cross yet with rustic traits. The birds are supposedly extremely rustic and lively. Although I could easily come across the Cobb500 rooster as many hatcheries sell this cx strain, I can't find Sasso. So I resorted to a rustic brown female, which was more avalible, the Novogen. I'm hoping these birds end up like CobbSasso, but I don't know what to call them. You guys can choose a name if you like. As you all have more broiler experience than me, any feedback and suggestions would be appreciated.

P.S. I can deliver my novogen to a volunteer that lives in Dallas, TX and owns a cx rooster I can breed it with.

That being said, there is not guarentee this will be a success, I'll say 70% chance it will happen this summer, and after that 50% that I can deliver a novogen to a volunteer. Those are approximates, maybye more or less. So if anyone found this inspiring, go ahead and do it yourself.
