Looks like a rooster to me. Both of our silkie hens are like low rider cars.If I am right he will fill out well. Ours did.
He should be pure we got him as a chick from a friend that raises Silkies to go with an orphan bantam chick that was only one to hatch and was the same age .I'm leaning cockerel.
I'd say it's going to be possibly a partridge, or, it's got something else coming out in him. Is it possible it's crossed with some other breed?
We originally had 5 but 3 were Roos so we got rid of two and kept our favorite. It was tough to tell until they got older for sure. Now it’s super easy to see. Our hens are tiny and low to the ground. Our rooster is bigger, thicker and upright.that’s what I thought but everyone that I have asked said with silkies the only way to be for sure is if it crows it’s a rooster.
