First snow of the season

Last night the winds of change brought us 4 inches of snow. And my girls were quite interested this morning when I opened the coop door. This being their first winter. Only one put up a fuss, the rest ran out like little kids. Wish I had my camera with me at the time.

Glad they enjoyed it. My old ladies are a bunch of princesses that hate to get their feet wet, so they would rather die than walk in snow. I am curious how my youngsters are going to do. It will be their first winter.

It'll be my chickens' first winter too! The snow should be here soon......

My Welsummer was the most "vocal" about the weather. Might have to get her some snow boots.
