First Snow this season! 3-6 inches

It was 95 here yesterday. *sigh*

I live about halfway between OKC and the Red River. We get a big snow ( a ft. or more) maybe once every 20 years. One between 6 in. and a ft about once every 10 years. An average year we dont get 3 in. all winter. If the weather pattern stays the same for the next 3 months weve had for the last 3 weeks we may get over a ft. Were due I think the last big snow year was 1989. We get more freezing rain wich turns out to be more of a problem than snow.

Freezing rain is much worse than the largest snow storm. I remember Oct. of 1987 we had a huge ice storm. Our power was off for 2 weeks and I know some people who were off for 3 weeks. I'll take snow over ice any day.
