well...we have an egg...or rather, we had an egg. They ate it before we could get it out of the bedding!!! We believe it was one of our sapphire gems as she has been the most vocal and squatting in front of me for several days. So excited but sure hope they don’t eat the next one!!

Congrats Providing your birds have access to either layers feed or oyster shell it’s quite normal to expect some odd eggs - often laid in odd places.

It's not uncommon for young layers to lay an odd egg while they are working out the laying kinks.

Thx! I put OS out last week. We have several that are around 16 weeks yet. This one was dropped from her roost! Golf balls in nesting boxes but no one is interested in them yet!
