first squat from rosey

ok rosey did her furst squat. about how long should it be before she lays? 24 weeks old today. she is a buff orpington. my barred rock petunia started laying the 11th of this month.

In my limited experience, there's a week or two between first squat and first egg. Or at least the wait seemed interminable. Your mileage, of course, may vary.

My barred rock has been laying for a week now and I just got her first squat this morning. None of my other chickens are laying. The oldest is 26 weeks. Makaila (my barred rock) is 24 weeks old.
