Hey all, so i went a little overboard with ebay auctions on hatching eggs, and i have lets just say... alot of eggs coming in, that werent very cheap, and ive never done a staggered hatch before, and its may 9th tdy, and the eggs that i have in the bator right now hatch on the 19th, and im going to be putting the eggs from ebay in most likely on the 12th, sooo... what should i do to have a successful hatch, and what should i do about lockdown?
:confused::confused:

Following. I have chicken eggs due tomorrow (one pipped already) and turkey eggs not due for another week. I took the turner out but I won't be raising humidity for lockdown. Once the first egg hatches humidity always spikes anyway. Curious to know if anyone has any tips.
Yes, I should have set the turkey eggs first, but I didn't.

I do staggered hatches in my cabinet incubator without problems simply by paying attention to the size of the air cell in the eggs. I would wait until the first pip to raise humidity for hatching and once they hatch check the air cells on the next set of eggs and let it guide you on the humidity level for the remaining eggs. If you have a smaller incubator it may be harder to control humidity.

I just had quail (my own eggs) hatch on 04/25 70/78 hatched
shipped chicken eggs hatch on 04/28 10/13 hatched
my own chicken eggs 05/09 25/26 hatched

Good luck on your hatch!
