Cold as in fridge cold? I would say no but I'm no expert. If I were you I would get more eggs that have not been refrigerated.

I purchased some eggs today and unfortunately they were already cold!

Is it possible to hatch chicks still or do I need to go back and buy some more?

Being refrigerated doesnt preclude chicks from hatching. It diminishes the odds of it hatching though; there are threads here about buying refrigerated eggs from Whole Foods and Trader Joes and hatching them.

Cold is relative - how cold?
Also, how big is the air cell on the top - smaller means fresher.
