Well, my young birds are starting their family planning. They are quite industrious when it comes to nest building, they are not only using the tobacco stems I provided them, but also are using feathers lol. I wonder when I should expect eggs? I know the time periods, but I'm not sure whether they have actually copulated yet.
That is a cock bird in the nest bowl. He hangs in the bowl for some reason, and I catch him building the nest. Is that normal?
Any other advice on breeding is appreciated. I was new to pigeons this past spring, so this will be my first breeding experience (assuming they reproduce).
