First time broody questions

so I have a first time broody partridge rock who I gave 5 silkie eggs to on august 6th. They were shipped and only one developed when I candled them on day 10 and again on day 14.

So on Friday which should have been roughly day 19/20 I heard peeping coming from the egg (hooray!!) but now it's Monday and still no chick how long should I wait be fore I give up? I've read that it's not totally unusual to have day 23 hatches, but if it was peeping on Friday shouldn't it have done something by now? I'm starting to lose hope. It's my first time trying to hatch and it's been a little dissapointing...

Are you still hearing sound or seeing movement coming from the egg?

I heard it peep on Saturday, but that was the last time.

Darn, it's always a tough call.

I'm thinking that if the chick were still viable you'd hear peeping and see at least where it has pipped internally.

But then again, there's a reason they say wait till day 23.

I'd keep it one more day, then candle one more time before cracking it open to do an egg-topsy or tossing it. Just to be super safe.
