First time broody silkie, give her more eggs?

I have a broody silkie sitting on one of her eggs. How many more standard size eggs could I give her with a reasonable hope of hatching success?

Give her what you think she could reasonably keep warm, like 3 or 4. I have a Phoenix sitting on 4 standard and 3 silkie eggs right now. It is amazing how she has her little body spread out over them. Good luck.

We took the single egg from our broody silkie and gave her 4 black Austrolorp eggs. The single silkie egg is hatching in an incubator that a friend is taking care of and the four eggs are due to hatch in a couple of weeks when we get back from a trip we planned before she decided to sit on eggs. We candled the four last night and it looks good so far. We also candled the single egg due to hatch on Easter and saw the little thing moving around! She seems to be managing four nicely.
