First time broody

Momma will get stressed and will want to protect them from you...Just stand back and let Momma raise them...My Hens with Chicks I leave alone to raise the Chicks..My Hens are friendly and like me so when all are out free ranging I just make my usual call and all the Chicks come running to me too...I never handle any of my Birds....

I do like to handle mine, they're more pets than anything else! Is there an age you should start to handle them to get them used to you? My broody is really nice, never been aggressive and I've been taking her off the nest once a day so she can eat and drink.

Now that the eggs are hatching give her a few days alone with them....Then if she allows you to handle them? You can play with them...
