hi. i had a hen go broody on mothers day and i gave her infertile eggs to sit on, just to make sure she would stay broody. so i waited three days and she is still broody. but the bigger hens when around her keep pecking her until she gets off her nest. this morning i went to let them out and she was off the nest and the eggs were cold, im afraid to give her fertile eggs. could she be getting off the nest just becuz shes not to sure what to do. this is her first time going broody. ive been keeping her in the coop with food and water and ive been shutting the door to keep the big hens out. but when they go in there she gets off. i was thinking of getting a tote and laying it on its side to make a little nest and putting her in there to get her out of the fav nesting spot but will the other hens still mess with her.
