So my bantam started laying recently. Consistently lays 1 egg every other day. After 4 eggs she seems to just have gone broody?

Normally she lays and hops out the box to eat. Now she's actually flattening out and sitting on the eggs.

I have no rooster so there is no chance of them actually hatching.

What should I do? I've never attempted to snap a hen out of being broody. She's only my second chicken.

I should point out her nest is on my computer desk. She refused to lay anywhere but there. I caught her trying to lay inside my hat. 😑 So i built her a nest and she's quite happy with it.

First, I just want to say that the sitting in her little nest on your desk is adorable. :love
Is she a full time house chicken?

Probably just removing the next and eggs will break her.

Does this bird live inside your house full time?

No she's in and out. She lays around the same time every other day like clockwork. So I have her in to eat and such before letting her out into the yard.

Oh it's adorable just startling at first. 😂 I couldn't figure out what she was trying to do until she started getting comfy in my hat. Haha

She is pretty consistent with time and how often she lays. So I have her indoors until she does her thing then she goes outside to roam. The door is cracked so she comes and goes as she pleases.
