first time broody

My girls are 6 1/2 months. None of them have gone broody yet. Will first time broodies sit on eggs? I would like to have a broody sit on eggs someday. I have sex links, brahma's and orpington's.

They should. After all, thats what they're broody for.
But the quality of the mothering depends on the individual hen.
