First Time Chick Parents, Spring 2016

What color are the legs? Most hatcheries do not have true Ameraucanas, they have Easter Eggers.

I do know this that's just how they had them labeled, either way I got what I wanted anyways

I'll post a comparison picture from my computer later, I think my original pictures are a few pages back on this thread.

and yes I do understand that it is an EE I mostly made this picture to show my friend who works there (she wasn't on shift or im sure that wouldn't have happened) the bins weren't mixed breeds they just had the wrong labels if that makes sense

Yeah, looks like they had their labels backwards. Black Austrolorp chicks are partially black!

That is what I get for only researching what the chicks I wanted out of the assorted bin would look like, I didn't bother to research what the pullets I wanted should look like oops lesson learned and luckily it worked out in my case. I'm sure there are other customers who won't be as happy about the mistake as I am lol

Here are the girls at 3 weeks old. Well 4 of them, my 5th is trying to die on me so I didn't want to disturb her for pictures. It's so sad.

But these happy ladies are thriving!

kekstrom,
What is wrong with your chick?

She has been limping and losing balance today, and very lethargic, even llistless at times. She just sleeps. Rarely opens her eyes. I have been forcing fluids every hour, and she has been eating and pooping still. I tried isolating her, but she frantically called out and searched for her brooder mates. If she makes it through the night I am going to try to giver her some Corid tomorrow- thinking that maybe she has coccidiosis (I live far from town, so I can't go in until tomorrow afternoon). I have been searching here for answers and that seems to be most likely what she has.

There are vitamin deficiencies that can also cause limping/loss of balance/weakness. If you aren't supplementing already, you may want to add that to her fluids.
