First Time Chick Parents, Spring 2016

This is a picture of one of my Australorp if that helps but I doubt it will. Don't they both have single combs as well? Ik my Australorps are bulkier in body than my Cuckoo Marans. A little more round in shape.

How can I tell which is my black australorp vs black copper maran? Today picked up 4 BA and they gave us 1 maran they hatched (either blue or black copper maran). I know easy way is find the one who doesn't match the rest but it's more difficult than that...
Thank you

thank you. Does help a little. When was your hatched? Mine were Tuesday and Wednesday.

The pic was when he was a week old. The females had about twice as much wing feathers and some tail feathers at the same time. He is also a runt so a little smaller than a thriving male would probably be.

THEY'RE HERE!!!! OMG! They are just so crazy cute!! I have attached pics of my DIY brooder made from old grid panels from when I used to breed sugar gliders...it worked out great and after extensive coaching I got all 25 to go under the mama heating pad! I had about 10 of my little black ones (assuming they are the Australorps and maybe my Blue Cochins?) that were stubborn and just huddled in the tiny bit of sun....now that the sun is hitting more of the brooder, they ALL came out to eat, drink and be chirpy! I made sure they are all eating and drinking :) The two children are my youngest grandchildren - 4 yr old twins. They were crazy about the chicks!!

I know aren't they though!!? I watched them all morning before I had to go to work....jumping around and acting like they could fly...it was so comical! I have 10 Barred Rocks, 5 Blue Cochins, 5 Australorps and 5 Golden Laced Wyandottes. The Cochins are so adorable, they even have fluff on their feet already! That's the only way I could tell they were the Cochins!! I AM HOOKED!! :)

worst part is when they sleep cause they just drop lmbo. I'm so hooked also but hubby put his foot down (we have last chance to get easter eggers may 9 and he said he can if I don't get the other ones hatching the 16th-bought, paid for from hatchery so can't not get them ---I'm so sad)

Any ideas on how to get these little girls to come to you-without snacks? They are to young still for them. They run to the far corner when we come to get them (fill feeder or waterer, or move them to change brooder box).
