I'm so bad, I went to pick up a new waterer for out in the run and I ended up buying two more babies!! My husband isn't going to like this when he gets home.

And Trixie

Trixie fits so well with the markings around the eyes the eyeliner is perfect. I have a silkie that has markings under the eyes that are black so when it closes the eyes it actually looks still awake.

But what happened did they still your husbands Hart???

Whoa. Am about to be inundated with chicks! I surprisingly won an auction for chicks from Greenfire Farms (Queen Silvias and East Frisian Gulls), found three Toulouse goslings on Craigslist, and just got notification that my order placed with Chicken Scratch Poultry (Araucanas, Ameraucanas, Welsummers, and Lavender Orps) is ready for pick up! I think it will be over 40 chicks at once!

Bye! Have to go throw together another brooder and MHP or two! e

Oooo! Keep me posted on how your chicken scratch poultry order goes, that's one of the places I'm considering ordering from next year and I've heard mixed reviews...

They're only about 90min from me, so I'm driving to pick up the chicks instead of subjecting them to mailing, so my experience may be a bit different. But I will report back.

So three new brooders ready to go with MHPs ready to be suspended above the chicks (exits on all four sides appealed to me). Just have to add feeders and waterers when they arrive. I think I'm ready for the fluffy baby avalanche!
