Hello everyone. I got my first flock of day old layer chicks this past April. My flock is comprised of mixed breeds with 18 pullets and one cockerel. They are 13 weeks today and I’ve been loving watching them grow and mature. I also have 2 Nigerian dwarf wethers that are about 7 months old. I got the goats about a month before the chickens and this is my first experience with any livestock so I still have much to learn. I live on 11 acres in north Georgia. Four aces of that is lake. The other 7 is mostly wooded with a few small clearings here and there. I house the chickens in a Chickshaw 2.0 and use Premiere One electric poultry netting to keep all of the animals contained. I’m looking forward to being part of this community and learning all I can from everyone here.
