My husband I just built our first coop, and got 6 little ones, but alas one got nabbed by a rat. The rest are doing great, and almost three months old now. Still learning everything that needs to be done and I friend suggested join BYC so here I am.

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Congrats on the coop! Sorry for your loss!

Don't hesitate to ask any questions.

Glad you joined!

So sorry for your loss. Sometimes it takes time to get all this figured out.

Enjoy this new adventure you are on and welcome to our flock!

Thanx, to all for your help, my hubby came up with an amazing solution to keep critters out of the coop, he sank expanded metal on the inside of the coop yard about 8-11 inches into the ground, has worked great

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm glad to hear your metal skirt is working to keep predators out of your coop. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions. We are here to help in any way we can. What kind of chickens do you have?
