First Time Chicken Keeper

Hello all,

We recently purchased a small farm a now have a small flock of 13 chickens. 11 are orpingtons and 2 are "white". The guy who gave them to me said they were (his words) "Americanas". They don't look like Ameraucans, so I'm not sure what they are. Hopefully I can figure it out among the plethora of information available on this site.

For fun (and 14 hours/day of work) we run a small fish food company: ArthurAquatics.com

Hopefully, we can learn about chickens, the children can gain some responsibility, and have egg salad available at all times!
