First time chicken owner...Buyers regret on coop. Advise please.

HI @Bcmacias! You are not the first one to buy a commercial coop only to be disappointed once you received it. I know from experience...I did it!:rantthe sites always overshoot the number of birds the coop can house..(im not sure where their chicken math comes into play, and the dimensions look a lot bigger online than when you receive the product.

That being said, lots of good ideas here to upgrade your space and create more room. I have 5 pullets and bought a coop that was sold for 12!! NOT HARDLY!
The good news is...they are little nuggets right now and you have a little time to work on adapting their living arrangement.

I built an additional run that I sit next to the prefab run to give them more space to roam during the day. Literally 2x4s, chicken wire(I recommed hardware cloth...rookie mistake) and a staple gun. My concern during the day were hawks and it works beautifully

One person suggested to me to get a shed and adapt it into a coop.

Stay positive, you will get it figured out. Chicks are very forgiving:) GOOD LUCK
