I need insight on what’s wrong with my girl. Impacted crop? No sour smell. What should I do?? I also posted a pic of her toe a while back because I thought it was bumble foot but no scabs or any sign of a laceration on it anywhere. She was drinking water this morning. Please tell me how I can help her :(

I looked at your previous post, it appears to me that the toe has continued to swell and gotten larger? Can you post a picture of the bottom of the toe? You mentioned a dark spot, it would be good to see it.

This was the best I could do.

Drinking water can be a way to try and clear an impaction.

See if this article helps..

Looks like she is still young.. not yet laying?? Was she vaccinated against Marek's by chance? Is she pooping? What is her standard feed routine including treats and supplements? Is she Lav Orpington?

Wow, that is a huge toe.. is seeing a vet an option?

Hope you find answers! :fl

Yes lavender orp! 9 weeks old on Monday. Has had the swollen toe for several weeks now and has slowly gotten bigger.
She was not vaccinated. Still on chick feed at the moment, electrolytes in their water and they get fresh fruit and veggies as treats. Mainly banana, strawberries, and cucumber.
I’ll spend some time with her today to make sure she’s pooping.
I sure appreciate it!!

If vet care is an option, then I would get that toe looked at. It may have been an injury, hard to say, but I would guess it's infection in there. The tip past the swelling looks to be darkening, so she could be at risk of losing that. If she were mine, I would either have it looked at, or I would lance it, remove all the pus if that's what is there, apply antibiotic ointment, wrap it, and start her on an oral antibiotic, like amoxicillin, to try to save the toe. I don't know if that alone is what is causing her to not feel well, but it's definitely an issue.

We suspected sour crop. As her crop was massive and squishy. There was SO much that came out and it was so thick I believe she choked on it. I tried to keep pulling everything that she struggled getting out of her mouth. She unfortunately didn’t make it.
