New to owning chickens. Expecting my first batch in about 1 month.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Ordered 15 from Cackle Hatchery

(3) What breeds do you have?
Buff Orpingtons, Barred Rock, Black Laced Silver Wyandotte, and Cinnamon Queen

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Been exposed to chickens rearing thru friends and enjoy helping. Wanted to introduce them to my family so we could start our homesteading process and my children could enjoy them and learn a little bit.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy building things and working outside.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My wife and I have 5 boys.. 2 cats and 1 dog.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Found BYC on Pintrest.. the wife was pointing out ideas about chicken tractors..

Chicken keeper, chicken owner, flock keeper, chicken tender, all mean the same thing. Well, sometimes not the last one.
